Leading Line
Dusty Chalk Board A.Santos 2013
-
A line that leads your eye to the
focal point or into the distance to create depth.
To represent
leading line I chose this close up image of a chalkboard. It was taken from an
angle so that the ledge and erasers draw your eye into the distance. The
lighting in the hallway also creates more depth which I thought made the image
more intriguing.
Rhythm
The Many Faces of Me! A. Santos 2013
-Repetition
of an image, a pattern
I
took this image because there is a repetition of my face. To create this I used
mirrored cabinets in my bathroom.
Vertical
The Basis of the Creative Mind. A. Santos 2013
-The
image is longer in length than in width
I
took this image in the art room. I found this mannequin torso and some books
and piled them on top of each other. Because of that it would have been in
better taste to take the picture vertically rather than horizontal where some
of the image would be cut off.
Framing
-Shooting
the image through something so that the main subject becomes framed.
I
shoot this image in a mirror. The frame of the mirror is the frame in my
picture. This image was also taken at the corner of the mirror so you can see
the angle which makes it look more like a frame rather than a line.
Angle: Straight on
Trees in the Park A.Santos 2013
-When
the camera is held straight, not being pointed up or down and getting an eye
level view of the subject.
I took this while walking through the wooded
section of the park. You can see both the sky and the ground equally because
the camera was held straight at eye level on flat ground. The horizon line is
perfectly centered.
